This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use Nova. We are committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), as well as applicable international privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where relevant.
We collect the following types of information: • Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register. • Fitness and health data: Goals, fitness level, training history, body metrics, and other information you provide to generate your personalised programme. • Payment information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data. • Usage data: How you interact with the App, including features used and session activity. • Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system.
We use your information to: • Create and manage your account • Generate personalised AI fitness programmes and coaching recommendations • Process payments and manage your subscription • Send you service-related communications • Improve and maintain the App • Comply with legal obligations We do not use your data for advertising purposes and do not sell your data to third parties.
For users in the European Economic Area, we process your data on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract; (b) legitimate interests; and (c) your consent where explicitly provided.
We share your data only with: • Stripe — for payment processing • Supabase — for secure database storage • Anthropic — the AI provider powering Nova's coaching features (data is processed to generate your programme and is not used to train Anthropic's models) We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.
Your data is stored securely via Supabase with row-level security enabled. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Nova may use essential cookies or local storage to maintain your session and save workout progress. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Nova is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Nova is available globally. By using the App, you consent to your data being processed and stored in Australia and/or the location of our third-party service providers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice.
